VCUFOREARTH

In collaboration with the Sustainability class, develop and design consumer awareness and education campaigns to promote a better understanding of the importance of diverting textile waste from landfills and the potential for more circular solutions (targeted specifically to the VCU and surrounding communities).

The ask

We utilized findings from the Sustainability class, and generated a slogan and designed a logo for our campaign proposal. Then we developed an Advertising/Media mix complete with visual representations of ads and social media posts, and a Press/Digital Media Kit.

The process

Advertising/Survey

The promotion of the event will be featured on the VCU website, including the publication of a Press Release. Additionally, the event will be highlighted on the VCU Fashion, VCU, and ECOFashion Instagram accounts. A TV and monitor-friendly QR code will be provided, leading to a survey designed to gather data on attendees' shopping habits. To enhance visibility and content organization, the hashtags #VCUforEarth and #RavetoRecycle will be employed in promoting and coordinating content related to the event.

Press Release and Digital Media Kit

We shared our project with the class, alongside other groups, to assess which project would become the new campaign. Although our project was not selected, the experience taught me valuable skills in campaign creation and public relations.
